Seven things we must guard against …

The children of Israel were delivered from Pharaoh, to go and fight against nations bigger and stronger. They had 7 kings they had to go against, and we have 7 things we need to guard against:

  1. Live our life in the Word and prayer – be careful
  2. Live a life of service – give
  3. Live a life of empowerment – be filled
  4. Live a life of a warrior – be clothed
  5. Live a life of separation – be dead to sin
  6. Live a life of praise – be thankful
  7. Live a life of accountability – be transparent

Read Deuteronomy 7:1-2.

How do we disciple nations and what constitutes a church?

    How do we disciple nations?

There is really no other way to achieve this goal but through planting New Testament churches in every country of the world (Acts 14).  Paul’s pattern was to travel to areas and plant churches.  We see in Acts that they spread out and witnessed by planting churches, not just evangelizing – through Jerusalem, Judea, Samaria, and to the uttermost ends of the earth.

    And what constitutes a church?

It is not the number of people.  A New Testament church is where there has been Godly appointed leadership in the form of elders and deacons, and where there are believers.

We must be so careful not to just see people saved and then leave them to fend for themselves.  We don’t do this with our natural children and shouldn’t do it with our spiritual children either.  We need to see those who have come to Christ knitted into local churches.

The process for discipling nations is …

MATTHEW 28:19-20 – Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptising them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost: Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you always, even unto the end of the world. Amen.

The process for discipling nations is …

      • To see people saved, who become radical disciples / believers
      • Plant churches with these new disciples
      • Plant bases from which to operate
      • Train, equip and release these people
